The four-year comprehensive Prep Program focus on helping students plan their high school coursework and extracurricular activities throughout the students high school years.
  • Our advisor will work with the student's school support personnel to insure that they take advantage of appropriate course offerings and extra curricular offerings at their high school and beyond.  It is important for us to encourage our students to explore their extracurricular and curricular interests in novel ways to  broaden their high school experience.  We will provide an overview of the college planning timeline and various steps involved in the admissions process.  Our goal is to be proactive and allow students and parents to develop a thorough understanding of what to expect in the years to come.  The Prep Program includes all of the services included in the Graduate Program outlined below.

The two-year Graduate Program allows students and their parents to map and navigate all aspects of the college admissions process throughout the student's senior year including a thorough description of the college admissions process with a focus on the topics listed below:

  • An advisor will begin with an assessment of the student’s transcript to date, discuss colleges that the student may preliminarily be considering, and then formulate a specific plan to either help that student maintain their current high level of performance or improve their high school record as they prepare to apply to colleges the following year.

  • An integral portion of the plan focusses on helping students and their parents to prioritize college visit choices, and also to learn what to look for on these visits in order to help the student start to refine the list of colleges to which he or she plans to apply to.
  • Develop a plan and timeline for remaining standardized testing, including the SAT I, ACT, SAT II, and AP tests.

  • Help students plan college visits and establish a framework for evaluating and comparing various colleges.

  • Aid the student in deciding which teachers to ask for recommendations and discuss the best way to ask these teachers.

  • Formulate an overall strategy for the student's college applications, focusing on essays, the brag sheet, and considering any supplemental materials the student is considering including; aid in the essay brainstorming process; editing essay and resume drafts.

  • Support student in weighing various admissions offers and in the decision-making process after offers of admission have been extended.

The Student-Athlete Program is designed to provide personalized tailored support for the prospective college athlete and includes all of the services offered in the Graduate Program for non-athletes. In addition to the services offered in the standard plans, we will:

  • Discuss NCAA rules and regulations relating to recruiting, including college visits and contact with coaches.

  • Assist students in preparing athletic resumes and produce and provide the students athletic recruiting video.

  • Advise students on initiating and managing contact with coaches.

  • Help students evaluate the pros and cons of different athletic programs and when applicable, scholarship offers.

  • Support student in weighing various admissions offers and in the decision-making process after offers of admission have been extended.
